Victoir: rich history, promising future!

Victoir has over a century of experience in the finishing sector as a product supplier for wet and dry plastering, façade finishing and dry construction. The company was established in 1903 by the great grandfather of the current managing director Steven Everaert. Today, Steven and his son Philippe stand at the helm of the family company, which was located at Visitatiestraat in Sint-Amandsberg between 1911 and 2008. In 2008, Victoir moved to Ghent (near Wondelgem).

Establishment

Victoir has had a lively history from the beginning. Having begun as a lath maker, the emphasis has increasingly shifted over the years to the production and sale of products for the plastering world. The company had a heyday in the 1950s and ’60s in particular, when Belgium was rebuilding after the Second World War. At the end of the 1970s, the stress was placed completely on sales. The company was in need of a successor, until Steven stepped into the business at his family’s request. After a management buy-out, the takeover of the company was accomplished and the years that followed were characterised by growth. In the 1990s, Victoir was given a strong impulse with investment in further professionalisation.

Highly valued

With this professionalisation, Victoir grew to become one of the most important, most valued suppliers of industrial wet and dry plaster products for interior and exterior use. Victoir provided high quality finishing materials to many satisfied plasterers, stucco appliers and drywallers from all around Flanders from its original branch in Sint-Amandsberg until 2008.

Move

Due to the expansion of the activities and the increasing demand for drywall products, Victoir felt the need to open a new site. In 2008, the company moved to an industrial site in Gent-Zeehaven (near Wondelgem). Not only does this new site bring extra storage capacity, its better accessibility also makes it very attractive in terms of logistics. Professionals can go there for everything in the field of finishing and façade. Our own logistical unit ensures that the delivery, processing and transport of orders are arranged to the last detail.

Tradespeople can be fully advised and informed about the most recent developments and products within the finishing market, machine market, external wall and plaster market. With a professional team and a market full of opportunities, Victoir is full of confidence for the future; hopefully together with you!

We will gladly help you!
